About the Role
Structured Trade & Export Finance (STEF) advises on and arranges medium and long-term bilateral and syndicated loans to finance clients’ imports, exports, and investments. The business collaborates with export credit agencies (ECAs), multilateral and bilateral institutions, as well as private risk insurers (PRIs) to mitigate counterparty risks. ECA’s buyer’s credit is the major product of STEF, focusing on tied financing of capital goods and related services ordered by foreign buyers. Due to the global economy’s multi-dimensional transformation (energy, supply chains, and commodity security), the demand for untied ECA financing is increasing and getting more relevant. STEF being one of the core product pillars of the Trade Finance & Lending (TF&L) business under Deutsche Bank Corporate Bank, showcases strong return proposition, with clear growth momentum within the TF&L franchise. As part of the STEF Global team, STEF Japan Structuring & Sales Team perform origination and marketing, structuring, execution, and portfolio monitoring functions for Japanese ECAs (outbound) transaction and third country ECA (inbound) transaction for Japanese clients. The team is further supported by the wider STEF APAC team, and will have extensive collaboration opportunity with the wider STEF Global team span across Europe, US, and the Middle East given product and project nature. DB CB Coverage has long standing relationships with many key clients, which includes but not limited to sectors such as Trading Companies, TMT, Engineering, Energy and Financial Institutions, while STEF client universe includes corporates, financial institutions, and sovereigns. Furthermore, Japan is a strategically important region from global perspective, and DB aspire to further develop our STEF business on the ground. In close cooperation with Project Finance and Natural Resources Finance team, the team also provides comprehensive project finance solutions.
