About the Role
As an Application Consultant for RIB Civil, you will translate your practical experience in road and civil engineering/surveying into digital solutions. Your responsibility will positively impact all RIB Civil customers, empowering them to remain operational with RIB Civil, and your industry feedback will directly influence development. This transforms the experience from a single construction site into a standard that benefits hundreds of projects.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding all technical and user-related questions about the RIB Civil software solution for road/civil engineering, surveying, and infrastructure.
- Analyze and process customer inquiries via phone, email, and/or the ticketing system promptly, professionally, and with a focus on solutions.
- Develop customized solutions in collaboration with customers.
- Ensure high-quality, customer-oriented processing of all inquiries.
- Perform software tests and remote maintenance for error analysis and problem resolution.
- Coordinate complex issues and escalations with our specialist and development teams.
- Identify potential problems early, document findings, and ensure sustainable knowledge transfer.
- Continuously develop your knowledge of road and civil engineering, digital processes, and RIB Civil functionalities.
- Share your expertise within the support team and foster continuous exchange of best practices.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues in consulting, development, and product management.
- Support the creation and maintenance of knowledge bases, documentation, and internal standards.
Requirements
- Completed degree in construction or surveying, geoinformatics, civil engineering, or a construction-related apprenticeship with relevant professional experience in a comparable field.
- Experience with RIB Civil is not a prerequisite; understanding of processes in road/civil engineering and surveying, and the ability to connect technical requirements with digital solutions are more important.
- High IT affinity and interest in digital business processes and modern software solutions.
- Structured and independent work style, with the ability to systematically analyze technical and application-related issues.
- Strong communication skills and enjoyment of direct customer interaction.
- Team-oriented work style and openness to new topics and continuous learning.
- No travel required.
- Very good German language skills (minimum C1 level) for the DACH focus market.
- At least good English language skills at B2 level for internal communication.
