About the Role
Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 that prioritizes meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well-being of Canadians, primarily in security guard and related services. We are seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing team, where your commitment to serving clients and employees will enhance our organization's success.
Responsibilities
- Ensure access control policies and procedures are followed and client property is secured
- Monitor CCTV cameras
- Maintain positive working relationships with employees, visitors, and clients
- Complete site reporting requirements, daily logs, and written reports
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and deportment
- Maintain effective communication
- Respond to alarms and calls for assistance
- Provide assistance to employees, clients, and visitors
- Perform regular interior and exterior foot patrols
- Perform other duties as required by the client or site supervisor
Requirements
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid WSIB accredited First Aid and CPR certificate
- Must be able to obtain a Reliability Security Clearance (resident in Canada 5 years or longer, clean record, clean credit history)
- Ability to work alone while maintaining a high level of service
- High attention to detail
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for long periods
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to complete frequent patrols
- Must be highly reliable
- Must work well under pressure
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Must have the ability to multitask
- Must be a professional who takes pride in dress, deportment, and performance
