About the Role
LCRA is seeking an experienced leader to guide the teams, systems, and technology supporting the safe, reliable, and secure operation of the transmission system. This role provides strategic direction for Energy Management Systems, Substation Wide Area Networks, system modeling, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and regulatory compliance, focusing on enhancing system reliability, managing risk, and preparing for future growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and inspire technical teams to deliver operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with NERC CIP, ERCOT, FERC, and applicable standards.
- Lead the development of plans, risk management, budgeting, and asset management.
- Ensure safe, reliable system performance and effective emergency response.
Requirements
- Twelve years of experience in electric utility transmission operations, transmission engineering, or other relevant experience.
- At least five years of management responsibility.
- Driver's license
Skills
- Deep expertise in NERC CIP, ERCOT, FERC and reliability requirements.
- Experience with power system modeling, training simulators, and system integration.
- Experience leading cybersecurity and critical infrastructure technology.
Experience Level
- Twelve years of experience
- Five years of management responsibility
Education Level
- A degree(s) in engineering, engineering technology, or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
