About the Role
Pluckers is seeking a dynamic Staff Accountant to join our corporate office in downtown Austin. This hands-on position reports directly to the VP of Accounting & Finance and plays an important role in the accounting and finance process, supporting the company's aggressive growth plans.
Responsibilities
- Assists with monthly, quarterly, and yearly close procedures.
- Prepares and maintains journal entries and general ledger.
- Assists with account reconciliations.
- Handles monthly bank reconciliations.
- Reconciles 3rd party delivery payments.
- Handles company accounts receivable.
- Maintains company fixed asset tracking and depreciation.
- Assists in various projects and audits as assigned by the VP of Accounting and Finance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a retail/restaurant environment preferred.
- Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience in full-cycle accounting (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger), preferably in a multi-unit retail/restaurant environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and proven ability to organize data efficiently.
- Ability to multi-task, adhere to tight deadlines and be self-disciplined.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
