About the Role

The Employee Engagement Specialist will create a holistic approach to engagement and wellbeing, empowering employees to voice their ideas and perform at their best. This role involves collaborating with key internal stakeholders and utilizing data-driven insights to foster a positive work environment at Penningtons Manches Cooper. Employee engagement is crucial throughout the entire employee lifecycle, influencing attraction, onboarding, development, retention, and offboarding. You will partner with stakeholders to integrate employer brand, culture, values, and engagement strategies across all stages, ensuring a high level of trust and an optimal experience for all employees.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and assess the Employer Value Proposition with stakeholders to enhance the firm's appeal as an employer of choice.
  • Collaborate with HR and Marketing to ensure external communication channels reflect the firm's values and culture.
  • Design and implement inclusive culture initiatives with the Responsible Business Committee and employee network groups.
  • Support external benchmarking submissions to accurately promote the EVP.
  • Develop an employee experience strategy with metrics and KPIs aligned with the firm's objectives.
  • Lead employee engagement activities, including surveys, focus groups, analysis, and action plan development.
  • Equip stakeholders with information to embed the employee experience strategy.
  • Design wellbeing, recognition, and reward initiatives with the Head of HR.
  • Develop employee communication campaigns for HR initiatives and change activities.
  • Support the delivery and evaluation of people programmes and projects.
  • Design and utilize communication channels to positively impact employee experience.
  • Drive a growth mindset and shift employee perception of growth and development with the Head of Learning & Development.
  • Develop an engaging induction and onboarding experience with the HR team.
  • Ensure efficient new hire integration through a structured orientation program.
  • Oversee a smooth offboarding experience and analyze exit interview data.
  • Continuously assess and adapt onboarding and offboarding experiences based on insights.
  • Leverage the Alumni network with the Marketing team to foster connections and future ambassadorship.

  • Work with the Responsible Business Committee and employee network groups to design and deliver approaches to ensure an inclusive culture.
  • Support external benchmarking submissions.
  • Develop an employee experience strategy, with associated metrics and KPIs monitoring.
  • Lead on employee engagement activity including pulse surveys, focus groups, analysis, development of actions plans and ongoing communication.
  • Equip key internal stakeholders with the information needed to play their role in embedding the employee experience strategy.
  • Design wellbeing and recognition strategies to support and promote employee health, wellness, and work-life balance practices and reward and appreciation initiatives.
  • Develop employee communication campaigns to proactively promote and disseminate information which supports ongoing and ad-hoc change activities across all HR specialisms.
  • Support the efficient delivery and evaluation of ongoing, annual and planned ‘one-off’ people programmes and projects.
  • Work with internal and external comms to design and utilise communication channels and approaches which positively impact employee experience.
  • Work with the Head of Learning & Development to drive a growth mindset and shift in employee perception of growth and development.
  • Work with the HR team and internal stakeholders to develop an engaging and refined induction and onboarding experience.
  • Ensure an efficient integration of new hires through a structured orientation programme.
  • Work with the HR team to ensure a smooth offboarding experience for employees, including data analysis from exit interviews to further improve employee experience.
  • Continually assess the onboarding and offboarding experience, ensuring activity is insights-driven (internal and external), and is adapted accordingly.
  • Work with the Marketing team to leverage our Alumni network.
