About the Role

rand* construction is seeking Summer 2027 Interns who are in their sophomore year or above and enrolled in a Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business Management, Human Resources, IT, Finance, or Marketing Program at an accredited school. This 12-week program offers deep immersion into the business operations of a leading commercial contractor, tailored to your field of study.

Responsibilities

Participate in a 12-week program tailored to your field of study, offering deep immersion into the business operations of a leading commercial contractor.
Construction Management track: Gain hands-on experience across field operations and project management, covering Procore software training, safety protocols, blueprint reading, Superintendent job shadowing, and active job site visits.
Human Resources track: Gain exposure to full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement initiatives, benefits administration, and HR compliance.
Marketing track: Support corporate branding, proposal writing, social media campaigns, public relations, and collateral development for high-profile commercial projects.
Finance track: Assist with accounts payable/receivable, job-cost accounting, billing, financial reporting, and audit preparations. Help analyze project budgets, cash flow projections, cost-benefit analyses, and financial forecasting.
Information Technology track: Assist with helpdesk support, hardware/software deployment, network maintenance, and the implementation of emerging construction tech tools.

Requirements

Current enrollment for Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Human Resources, Marketing, Finance, IT or related field (Sophomore year or above).
Basic understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project delivery methods.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
Goals to establish a career in Construction Management.
Good time management and prioritization skills.
Ability to learn new technology utilized in project management.
Strong work ethic and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with industry-specific applications such as Procore, Bluebeam, or MS Project.
Eagerness to learn through hands-on site exposure.
Demonstrated passion for the commercial construction industry.
Positive attitude, ambition, and continual determination for self-improvement.
