About the Role
CDM Smith is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our team in Latham for Summer 2027. You will work with leading engineers on diverse public, federal, and industrial projects, contributing to electrical system master planning, studies, and design services.
Responsibilities
- Develop drawings for electrical systems (power, controls, communications, fire alarm, and security) using CADD.
- Perform electrical calculations using systems analyses software (lighting, load, voltage drop, etc.).
- Assist in the development of electrical distribution design plans and single line diagrams.
- Review shop drawings and assist with general construction services.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelors or Master's in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Electrical Technology or related discipline.
- Interest in power systems and/or electrical distribution.
