About the Role
The Engineering - Workshop department at DP World Constanta South Container Terminal Agigea is offering a suitable opportunity for individuals with welder qualifications and ISCIR/ANR/Lloyds certification.
Responsibilities
- Execute metal fabrication and mechanical repairs for terminal equipment and machinery, adhering to safety standards, work instructions, and internal procedures.
- Provide specialized technical support for equipment repairs as assigned by the Transport Workshop Manager, Mechanical Engineer, or Electrical Engineer, and as detailed in the Work Plan.
- Identify and visually inspect mechanical components and electrical equipment for repair or replacement upon receiving a Work Order in Maximo.
- Determine necessary materials for tasks and request them from the Warehouse based on the work order.
- Perform welding repairs and fabrication on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components and equipment to ensure optimal technical parameters and reduce downtime.
- Verify the quality of executed work and make corrections as needed to meet technical and safety standards.
- Request technological tests for repaired equipment through the Technical Dispatcher, using an authorized operator, and report task completion to the supervisor.
- Resolve issues in complex operational contexts within interdisciplinary teams and provide specialized technical support when requested or necessary.
- Participate in activities to mitigate the effects of natural disasters (floods, snow, storms, etc.) and ensure the security of equipment and the terminal.
- Undertake activities for internal authorization as a Mover and Load Binder, following ISCIR regulations, safely operating jacks, hoists, winches, manually operated cranes, aerial work platforms, forklifts, cranes, and overhead cranes for handling packages and parts during maintenance and repair operations.
- Ensure efficient, productive, and safe handling of parts and raw materials without damaging equipment, containers, loads, forklifts, trucks (internal or external), or wagons.
- Support vulcanization activities for tires, inner tubes, and rims of terminal equipment and machinery, report tire damage, and participate in repairs/maintenance as needed to ensure optimal technical parameters.
Requirements
- Completed secondary education or vocational school, accompanied by a welder qualification certificate and one of the following certificates: ISCIR/ANR/Lloyds.
- Approximately 5 years of direct experience working with industrial equipment.
- Valid Category B driver's license.
