About the Role
DP World Agigea terminal's Operations Department is seeking qualified individuals with a Crane Operator Group D qualification and valid, current Crane Operator Group D authorization to fill the roles of Crane Operator/RTG Operator.
Responsibilities
- Operate container cranes (RTG – container storage area crane, RMG – wagon operation crane) for efficient and safe handling of containers and other cargo types, adhering to productivity standards and preventing damage to goods, equipment, or transport.
- Comply with occupational health and safety regulations by wearing personal protective equipment (safety footwear, high-visibility clothing, helmet) and using specific equipment as per risk assessments, aptitude records, and instructions from supervisors and the HSSE department.
- Utilize the terminal operating system correctly and efficiently, following internal procedures, to accurately record container handling operations, taking direct responsibility for the accuracy of data entered via the crane's computer terminal (VMT).
- Promptly report technical malfunctions or abnormal crane operations to the supervisor to ensure operational continuity and safety.
- Adhere to applicable technical regulations, including PT R1/2010 provisions regarding crane operator responsibilities and PT CR8 requirements for annual authorization validation.
- Ensure a safe working environment by operating RTG and RMG cranes with maximum safety for all personnel in the operating area.
Requirements
- Possess a Crane Operator Group D qualification and a valid, current Crane Operator Group D authorization.
- Completed secondary education or vocational school.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in container operations or recent graduate status.
- Knowledge of technical prescription PT R1/2010 regarding crane operator obligations and responsibilities.
- Knowledge of PT CR8 provisions concerning annual authorization validation.
