About the Role
As a co-op student at S&C Electric Canada, you will work on meaningful projects that support our operations and provide hands-on experience in a dynamic, safety-focused environment. Join S&C to make an impact on tomorrow’s energy challenges!
Responsibilities
- Conduct time studies.
- Analyze current processes and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Understand and help with the standard work method development.
- Support in the 5S blitzes and prepare documents.
- Support in the Kaizen activities and standard work.
- Contribute to the culture of Continuous Improvement.
- Support identifying wastes and implementing process improvements.
- Implement improvement actions by supporting the change in the teams.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Mechatronics or Manufacturing Engineering Diploma/Degree or related field in a post-secondary institution.
- Registered and eligible for a 4-month co-op starting in the Winter 2027 (Jan. - Apr.) work term.
- Strong mechanical/mathematical aptitude and manual dexterity.
- Detail-oriented.
- Good communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Able to work in a fast-paced work environment with minimal supervision.
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
