About the Role
Permanent, Full-Time positions available for licensed 422A Industrial Electricians in a Pork Processing facility. This position is currently an active vacancy.
Responsibilities
- Comply with all safety regulations to provide a safe working environment.
- Complete understanding in electrical control wiring and troubleshooting of equipment and MCC Electrical Rooms.
- Perform PMs, PDMs, CM and regular work orders on equipment.
- Follows GMP rules and GMP for Maintenance rules.
- Carry out oral or printed work requests and apply corrective actions.
- Perform PM/PDM and regular Work Orders.
- Account for Inventory and labour on a computerized maintenance program.
- Conduit/wiring installations.
- Maintain all electrical plant equipment as per companies maintenance systems and regulator’s.
Requirements
- Must hold a valid Canadian License as an Electrician.
- Must have their own tools.
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize their workload.
- Must be proficient at repairs, troubleshooting and Installation of equipment.
- Must have 422A Industrial License.
- Minimum three years’ experience in the Food Industry an asset.
- Must be able to work at height with the proper PPE, can lift and move objects with up to 40lb regularly and work in confined spaces with the appropriate training.
- Must have experience in operating mobile equipment such as Counterbalance forklifts and aerial platforms and must hold a valid G driving license.
Skills
- Working knowledge of electrical high voltage up to 600 V.
- Knowledge of MCC Electrical Power Supply, conveyors, industrial engines, pumps, grinders, welding equipment, lathes, power tools, fans, blowers, hydraulic systems and high speed packaging equipment.
- Full knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Seaming experience.
- Programmable logic controllers (PLC’s).
- Experienced in the maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical switch gear, motors, drives, electronics, instrumentation, pumps and conveyor systems.
