About the Role
Embark on a thrilling journey through our Engine Cadetship programme at MSC Cruises, launching you into a life of exploration, challenge, and global discovery. Gain invaluable experience and form lifelong friendships while studying at an accredited UK nautical college and training at sea. Upon completion, you will be certified as an officer responsible for vessel safety, setting you up for a strong career in the maritime industry.
Responsibilities
- Learn about the engine room, machinery systems, and technical ship operations.
- Acquire hands-on experience in industrial maintenance and high-tech system troubleshooting.
- Contribute to keeping the ship running smoothly.
Requirements
- Applicants must hold a British or Irish passport or UK residency for at least one year with existing legal right to live and work in the UK.
- A strong interest in developing a career in the Maritime industry.
- Willingness to adapt to life at sea, including its unique challenges and rewards.
- A proactive, solution-oriented approach.
- Ability to work cohesively in a multicultural environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A team player mentality.
- A strong work ethic and desire to learn.
- Must be in good overall health and physical condition.
- Must pass a Maritime & Coastguard Agency certified medical examination (ENG1), including an eyesight test.
- Must comply with the company's vaccination policy.
