About the Role
CDM Smith is seeking a Geotechnical Engineering Intern to join our Infrastructure Services Team in New York City. This internship offers the opportunity to work with leading engineers on diverse projects, assisting with subsurface investigations, construction oversight, calculations, analyses, report preparation, and plan/specification development.
Responsibilities
- Assist with subsurface investigations.
- Provide oversight during construction of subsurface work.
- Assist senior engineers in performing calculations.
- Assist senior engineers in performing analyses.
- Assist senior engineers in preparing reports.
- Assist senior engineers in preparing plans and specifications.
- Assist with office needs on a variety of Geotechnical projects.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled and taking courses toward a Bachelors or Masters degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering is required.
