About the Role
This role involves operating and cleaning equipment for dairy product manufacturing and packaging. You will contribute to a farmer-owned cooperative that produces milk, yogurt, and other dairy products under various brands.
Responsibilities
- Batch products and record required information with 100% accuracy.
- Follow all SOP procedures and complete required documentation.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts.
- Maintain area cleanliness and report out-of-spec product.
- Participate in waste reduction efforts.
- Follow all safety requirements, including housekeeping, Lock Out/Tag Out, and PPE usage.
- Engage in facility safety efforts.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NYSDA, PMO, and FDA regulations.
- Assist in maintaining SQF readiness and HACCP.
- Clean, set up, operate, and monitor specified process equipment and systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background and drug screen.
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- Applicants must be available to work all hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to meet company policy for attendance and work schedule requirements.
- Ability to work in an environment with cold temperatures, noise, and uneven walking surfaces.
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods.
- Ability to operate in varied temperature ranges.
- Ability to perceive distance and distinguish color.
- Ability to handle intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion, such as stooping, bending, climbing, and lifting material or equipment.
