About the Role
AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Aviation Specialist to assist in aviation market analysis, opportunity pipeline management, and conducting aviation design. This role involves creating designs, calculations, and sketches under supervision, and utilizing computer software for design problems. The position also includes business development duties such as preparing proposals and presentations.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in aviation market analysis and opportunity pipeline management.
- Building analytic and design skills.
- Conducting aviation design under supervision.
- Creating designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under supervision.
- Collecting and analyzing data under supervision.
- Using computer software as a tool for solving basic design problems.
- Performing work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
- Assist in tracking financials for projects and pursuits under supervision.
- Demonstrates full use and application of standard sales and business development principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
- Follows established procedures, applies sound professional judgment, and approaches problems with a variety of solutions.
- Preparing proposals and presentations and participating in pre-sales activities under supervision.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Planning, Construction Management or related field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Drafting/CAD applications (MicroStation, AutoCAD Civil 3D).
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with MS Office.
- Must be available to work in New York, NY on a scheduled basis.
- All newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment.
