About the Role
Performs repair and maintenance work on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks, including various vehicle systems and components. This position is expected to work the third shift (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
Responsibilities
- Performs chassis component repair and maintenance.
- Performs refuse body repair and maintenance, including control, hydraulic, and electrical systems, and air and hydraulic braking systems.
- Performs engine repair and maintenance.
- Performs suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems repair and maintenance.
- Performs heating and air conditioning repair and maintenance.
- Performs air brake repair and maintenance.
- Provides road service to ensure equipment is returned to operation safely and efficiently.
- Identifies malfunctions using various electronic tools.
- Completes applicable company training programs.
- Maintains a clean and professional work area.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Prior experience with or knowledge of maintenance work on Classes 1-5 light/medium duty and heavy-duty Class 7-8 trucks, aircraft, or ships.
- Valid Driver’s License; CDL preferred.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to work well as a team member and independently.
- Ability to work efficiently and maximize productivity.
