About the Role
As a Service Staff member, you will be responsible for serving food in schools and daycare centers, focusing on fresh, organic, and regional meals. You will also manage the cafeteria, operate the cash register, and ensure children develop a joy for good food through careful work and child-oriented communication.
Responsibilities
- Portioning and serving healthy food for children at schools and daycare centers on-site
- Preparing cold dishes and salads
- Organizing the serving area
- Registering meal service via chip card
- Assisting in the kitchen (e.g., preparing cold dishes and salads, dishwashing/cleaning)
- Checking food delivery, verifying quality, and signing delivery notes
- Selling kiosk items
- Operating a cash register system and handling cash
- Ordering goods
- Daily cleaning of the serving area and washing dishes used on-site (e.g., warming containers)
- Communicating between the school and customer service
- Participating in training sessions
- Adhering to hygiene and quality standards (HACCP concept)
- Documentation
- Digital time tracking and requesting absences via the HR information system
Requirements
- No specific professional qualifications required; training as a hospitality professional is desirable
- Experience as a serving staff member in gastronomy or kitchen is desirable
- Knowledge of hygiene standards is desirable
- Knowledge of operating cash register systems is desirable, or willingness to learn
- Daily stair climbing is manageable; the serving area is on the 3rd floor without an elevator (goods elevator available)
