About the Role
The World Food Programme (WFP) is seeking a Lead Product Manager for its ShareTheMeal initiative. ShareTheMeal is WFP's award-winning fundraising and awareness-raising app, aiming to create a world with zero hunger. This role is crucial for WFP's ambitious growth strategy for individual giving, focusing on developing innovative features and increasing user engagement and base through marketing and communication.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a product roadmap for ShareTheMeal in alignment with Key Business Metrics.
- Conduct user research and data analysis to inform product decisions and A/B tests.
- Implement new features to enhance existing functionalities in collaboration with the development team.
- Define functional requirements and prepare clear specifications with support from UI/UX and development teams.
- Ensure alignment on timelines and technical dependencies with stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the Development team, UI/UX design, QA, content, localization BI team, and other stakeholders for successful feature rollouts.
- Collaborate with other product managers, review their work, and foster a growth environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 4 to 5 years of experience in product management of native iOS and Android apps.
- Experience with transaction-focused apps in the e-commerce industry is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong business understanding with experience in the growth and scaling of B2C environments.
- Deep technical understanding of the mobile application ecosystem (iOS and Android).
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to interact with managers with maturity and tact.
- Mature judgment with strong interpersonal skills.
- Collaborative spirit able to liaise with a wide range of people at all levels and across different cultures.
- Strong time management skills with an ability to plan, anticipate requirements, problems, and obstacles, and juggle competing priorities.
- Self-motivated and able to work with a high degree of autonomy.
- Fully committed and motivated to achieve the aims of the World Food Programme.
