About the Role
You will own models from handoff through to production, ensuring their reliability, performance, and efficient deployment within our shared machine learning platform. Your work will directly contribute to scaling our AI capabilities and reducing the cost of shipping new models.
Responsibilities
- Own models from handoff through to production: packaging, deployment, monitoring, and the decision on whether a model is ready to serve
- Keep production models reliable through drift detection, performance monitoring, alerting, and incident response
- Own the serving and inference path, including pipeline artifacts, inference entry points, monitoring hooks, and feature-store parity
- Review model design and evaluation methodology before shipping to catch issues early
- Extend the shared platform without introducing project-specific logic into shared code
- Set engineering standards for the platform as it scales across the organization
Requirements
- 2+ years in production machine learning engineering with ownership of models after handoff
- Strong Python skills: typed, tested, production-grade code
- Sufficient machine learning depth to challenge pipeline design, feature engineering, model selection, and evaluation methodology
- Hands-on experience with a managed ML platform (SageMaker, Vertex AI, Databricks, or Azure ML)
- Experience with feature stores
- Experience with CI/CD for machine learning
- Experience with AWS and Terraform
- Active use of AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot
- English at C1 level, written and spoken
- Snowflake and dbt experience (nice to have)
- Experience mentoring colleagues or reviewing their work (nice to have)
- Comfort operating in undefined environments (nice to have)
