About the Role
Arcadis is seeking an entry-level Civil Engineer/Environmental Engineer to support an expanding portfolio of projects. As part of our Resilience Environment team, you will work closely with experienced engineers, collaborating on diverse projects across North America in a supportive, mentoring-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Engineering design including land development planning, hydraulic modeling/calculations, erosion and sediment control evaluations and layout, and earthwork site design
- Developing permit/construction-level drawings and details
- Preparing construction technical specifications
- Report writing for civil and environmental permitting
- Construction cost evaluation and estimating
- Office-based support of construction projects (e.g., submittal reviews, field change documentation, site layout information)
Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills
- Focus on health and safety
- Excellent teambuilding and organizational abilities
- Strong passion for pursuing a career in the civil/environmental engineering sector
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record
Skills
- AutoCAD
- Autodesk Civil 3D
- Terrain modeling design software
- Hydrologic/hydraulic modeling (e.g., HydroCAD, WinTR-55, PondPack, HEC-RAS)
