About the Role
Develop accounting products that make Qonto the central finance workspace for SMEs in Germany and beyond. Take end-to-end responsibility for our accounting expansion in the German market, from product strategy to defining next steps within the complex German accounting and DATEV ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- End-to-end responsibility for your product roadmap, defining what to build, why, and in what order, in collaboration with engineers, designers, and subject matter experts.
- Build deep understanding of German accounting processes and how accounting actually works in Germany.
- Define and implement the German accounting strategy, understanding customer needs, deciding on build vs. partner, and creating an offering that is truly useful for German SMEs.
- Leverage AI tools (Dust, Notion AI, Claude) to automate processes and turn accounting into a competitive advantage.
- Challenge the status quo by questioning assumptions, rapidly prototyping, and working towards the best possible product.
- Operate with maximum squad autonomy, with your squad owning its roadmap and delivery independently.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in the German accounting domain, with experience working at or closely with a German accounting tech company.
- Proven track record of launching or significantly scaling products from 0 to 1, focusing on results and making tough trade-offs.
- AI integrated into your workflow for research, analysis, spec writing, and user testing, viewing AI as a genuine product lever.
- Fluent German and very good English for effective collaboration within the German market and with Qonto's European teams.
