About the Role
Berlin International College is seeking teachers of German as a foreign language for its Bachelor Prep Program 2026/2027. This role involves teaching German at A1 and A2 levels to international students preparing for German universities.
Responsibilities
- Teach German from beginner level up to A2.
- Prepare and conduct the internal BIC level test at the end of each course.
- Instruct students on Tuesdays and Thursdays in 90-minute blocks.
- Teach on selected Saturdays with 4-6 teaching units.
- Conduct intensive weeks Monday to Thursday with 6 teaching units per day in December, March, and April.
Requirements
- Have a qualification in German as a Foreign Language (DaF/DaZ) or comparable teaching experience.
- Possess at least one year of experience teaching German at beginner level (A1/A2) to groups of at least 5 students.
- Speak German at native or comparable level.
- Be available for classes on selected Saturdays and during intensive weeks.
- Have intercultural experience (a plus).
- Be familiar with telc examination formats at A1 and A2 (a plus).
