About the Role
Reactive Markets is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee the operational management of its finance function, ensuring accurate and timely management accounts, statutory accounts oversight, and robust financial processes and controls to support scalability. The role involves managing month-end close, balance sheet reconciliation, cash flow, leading the AR/AP, payroll, VAT, and HMRC teams, and providing analytical insights for financial decision-making. Additionally, the manager will handle external relationships, support funding activities, and manage accounts across multiple business entities, including regulated ones.
Responsibilities
- Own the month-end close process end-to-end and prepare the monthly management accounts pack (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
- Present financial reports to leadership as required.
- Manage balance sheet, cash flow, and VAT, including reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, and ownership of the quarterly group VAT return.
- Independently manage the year-end audit process and contribute to annual statutory accounts under FRS 102.
- Manage the AR & AP team, setting objectives and developing their capabilities.
- Ensure accurate inter-company accounting across parent and subsidiary entities.
- Maintain and improve finance systems, identifying opportunities for efficiency gains.
- Provide financial modelling and risk analysis to support decision-making.
- Support external investor and funding activities.
Requirements
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
- Several years of experience in a small business finance function.
- Direct experience owning month-end and year-end close processes.
- Experience managing junior team member(s).
- Experience running multiple business entities, including parent and subsidiaries, and regulated entities across different geographies.
- Independent ownership of the year-end audit process.
- Candidates must have the existing right to work in the UK.
- Not able to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
