About the Role
You are responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive team member training and development programs to enhance team skills and performance. You will assess training needs, design and update training courses, and manage training budgets to ensure maximum return on investment. As a Learning & Development Manager/L&D Assistant Manager/L&D Supervisor, you’re not just managing training initiatives for hotel team members – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.
Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and deliver hotel training programs in alignment with corporate goals and industry standards, inclusive of topics such as harassment-free workplace, diversity, new team member orientation, leadership, and service.
- Conduct meetings with department managers, trainers, and team members to review performance trends, develop action plans, and recognize achievements.
- Assess existing training initiatives, identify opportunities for enhancement, and recommend solutions to address specific department needs.
- Track, maintain, and audit individual team member training records using designated systems and tools.
- Manage and monitor department-specific training programs such as alcohol awareness, food safety, job skills checklists, and educational assistance.
- Supervise and support team members, monitor performance, provide coaching, and foster a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years in L&D or HR, with a strong track record in designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs.
- Skilled in instructional design, adult learning principles, and modern training methods (e.g., e-learning, blended learning).
- Proficient in assessing training effectiveness and aligning programs with business goals.
- Experienced with Learning Management Systems (LMS), digital training tools, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written skills; able to engage and motivate diverse teams.
- Committed to continuous learning and staying updated on emerging training trends.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally to identify needs and support performance improvement.
- Capable of managing training teams and multiple projects effectively.
