Responsibilities
- Support all phases of the underwriting processes.
- Set up new and renewal business files.
- Provide clerical/admin support for the Safety & Loss Control department.
- Communicate with Head Office departments as needed.
- Set up new policy documents and maintain file integrity.
- Process premiums for policies and endorsements.
- Set up reinsurance certificates in the electronic system.
- Process policies and endorsements within written guidelines.
- Bill premiums for premium bearing transactions.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by underwriters.
- Enter policy data into various Starr platforms (SPARC, RMS, Salesforce, etc.).
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a Property Insurance company.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Outlook, Excel.
- Demonstrated accuracy and speed in data entry and typing tasks.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and detail-oriented skills.
- Ability to comply with deadlines.
- Comfortable working within a team.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
