About the Role

This role provides cyber risk management advisory services to State Street's digital product line, focusing on protecting digital assets and blockchain systems by identifying vulnerabilities, designing security controls, and implementing Crypto Currency Security Standards (CCSS). The Information Security Officer will act as a strategic change agent and thought leader to strengthen the bank's cybersecurity resiliency.

Responsibilities

Perform cyber risk assessments at the application, platform, and system levels to identify vulnerabilities and potential threats.
Design and implement end-to-end cyber remediation solutions through collaboration.
Oversee the timely remediation of cyber issues related to digital products.
Engage in strong technical collaboration with application and platform owners.
Provide expert guidance and recommendations to senior management on security matters, including risk mitigation, new attack vectors, and securing blockchain architecture and decentralized applications.
Demonstrate strong technical expertise in at least three focus areas: Multi-Cloud, AI, Blockchain, Smart Contracts, and cryptography.
Possess a fundamental understanding of data structures and algorithms.
Maintain strong technical knowledge in network security, product security, and data protection.
Exhibit a strong conceptual understanding of public, private, consortium, and hybrid blockchain technologies.
Demonstrate a good understanding of agile methodology, procedures, and iterative decision-making.

Requirements

At least 7 years of progressive cybersecurity experience, with 3+ years in financial services.
2+ years of operational cybersecurity experience with blockchain technologies.
2+ years of experience working with business leadership on enterprise projects.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and advisory skills.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and in teams.
Adaptability and ethical judgment.
Demonstrated strategic and tactical thinking, decision-making skills, and business acumen.
Strong knowledge of applied cryptography and secure architecture/design principles for blockchain and smart contracts.
Proven experience auditing and securing blockchain platforms and smart contract-based applications.
Strong knowledge of common vulnerabilities and their mitigations in blockchain and smart contract platforms.
Secure programming experience in Python and Solidity is beneficial but not required.
Possession of at least one professional certification such as CISSP, CEH, CBSP, or CAISP.
AWS or Azure Cloud Security experience is preferable but not required.
