About the Role
As a Senior Forward Deployed Scientist, you will work directly with major retailers and manufacturers on complex problems such as demand forecasting, price optimization, and supply chain decisioning. You will own the science end-to-end, from understanding customer needs to implementing solutions that transform their operations. Your work will directly influence product development, enhancing core capabilities for future customers.
Responsibilities
- Own customer engagements end-to-end, including problem framing, solution development, and driving commercial impact.
- Apply and adapt advanced ML, forecasting, optimization, and agentic AI techniques to solve unique business problems.
- Translate successful on-the-ground solutions into product direction, improving core capabilities.
- Operate with autonomy, managing diverse stakeholders and making critical decisions to ensure successful project delivery.
- Stay current with advancements in applied AI and integrate new knowledge into team practices.
Requirements
- Strong track record of applying ML/data science to real-world commercial problems.
- Demonstrated depth in forecasting, optimization, or supply chain/pricing.
- Ability to own outcomes and drive ambiguous problems to resolution.
- Fluent programming skills in Python and SQL.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies as required by a problem.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex models to non-technical audiences and building confidence with executives.
- Comfort with ambiguity, direct customer interaction, and a fast-paced work environment.
