About the Role
Medtronic is a global leader in healthcare technology dedicated to alleviating pain, restoring health, and extending life. This role offers an opportunity to manage a high-performing team within the Surgical business in New South Wales, advancing minimally invasive surgery and driving sales revenue.
Responsibilities
- Plans, directs, and monitors the activities of a sales team within a specified region to achieve established sales targets.
- Develops and/or implements business strategies for existing and potential accounts.
- Manages the day-to-day activities of a sales team to implement the organization's overall sales strategy for an assigned region.
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with all key account personnel and relevant functions to support selling, market development, service efforts and clinical programs.
- Identifies opportunities and develops new programs to meet the organization's sales plans to increase market share.
- Assesses need for new selling programs and processes, conducts competitive analysis, and implements strategies.
- Coaches sales representatives on technical aspects of products and services, marketing campaigns, sales promotions, and sales techniques to help them achieve sales targets.
Requirements
- Proven people management or coaching experience, preferably with establishing and motivating a sales team.
- Expert understanding of internal workings of hospitals, labs, theatres, departments, key influencers, and the tender process.
- Solid knowledge of Business Planning.
- Strong strategic focus and ability to identify business opportunities.
