About the Role
Appier's Ad Cloud processes millions of bid requests per second, requiring data analysis to identify and drive performance improvements in online campaigns. This role involves turning data into actionable insights, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and owning the experimentation process to achieve measurable results.
Responsibilities
- Mine campaign, bidding, and user data to identify high-leverage opportunities for improving online campaign performance and formulate testable hypotheses.
- Investigate performance shifts and conflicting metrics to understand underlying mechanisms.
- Collaborate with ML scientists, product teams, engineering, and operations to drive improvements.
- Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests on live campaigns, making clear decisions on implementation.
- Define metric frameworks, build supporting datasets and pipelines, and create dashboards for stakeholders.
- Utilize AI assistants and agentic tools to enhance analytical throughput.
Requirements
- Ask probing questions and verify information from both AI and human sources.
- Influence cross-functional teams without direct authority and own initiatives from insight to completion.
- Leverage AI tools effectively, with the judgment to identify incorrect outputs.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in data analytics or data science in a product- or performance-driven environment.
- Strong statistical foundation in experimental design, including hypothesis testing and power analysis.
- Proficiency in Python and expert-level SQL.
- Hands-on experience processing large-scale data in PySpark or a comparable distributed framework.
- Working knowledge of machine learning for collaboration with ML scientists and evaluation of model impact.
- Demonstrated ability to translate analysis into decisions and communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
- Fluent English, written and spoken.
