About the Role
Lead the application of AI across the platform and business, working on complex, high-stakes financial data to build systems that change market operations. This is a production-focused role, not a research position.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of complex ML and GenAI systems that are robust, scalable, and production-ready.
- Guide the team through the full AI lifecycle, including experimentation, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring, emphasizing reproducibility and reliability.
- Drive architectural decisions for data-intensive, AI-driven applications, balancing cutting-edge approaches with production readiness.
- Apply NLP and GenAI to extract structure from unstructured financial documents like credit agreements, indentures, and servicer reports.
- Build and deploy models that operate on structured finance data, where logic errors have significant financial consequences.
- Mentor and develop engineers across various levels, fostering a high-performing team with a strong engineering culture.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Data, and Business teams to define roadmaps and deliver impactful results.
- Champion AI adoption throughout the organization and influence company-wide technology strategy.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading engineering teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Solid understanding of structured finance, including loan tapes, cash flow waterfalls, ABS/CLO structures, and priority of payments.
- Strong software engineering skills, particularly in Python.
- Deep knowledge of AI/ML frameworks, GenAI tooling, and modern data infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience building and deploying ML/GenAI systems in production within finance, legal, or other data-heavy domains.
- Ability to lead architectural discussions and technical trade-offs while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
- Experience with modern MLOps practices.
- Commitment to people development, including mentoring and performance management.
