About the Role

Responsibilities
- Provide primary support for the Senior Line 1 Risk and Compliance Partner in maturing Line 1 Risk and Compliance capability and practices.
- Gain an in-depth understanding of the Risk Division and act as a trusted advisor on risk, compliance, and control initiatives.
- Lead and coordinate risk and compliance assessment activities, including control testing and reasonable steps assessments.
- Develop action plans with management to improve the control environment.
- Provide input to Board and regulatory reporting.
- Prepare information packs for risk working groups and meetings.
- Work with key stakeholders to further embed Operational Risk Management and Compliance Frameworks.
- Coordinate and prepare monthly risk forum packs.
Requirements
- Experience in a Line 1 or Line 2 risk team, preferably within the Financial Services Industry.
- Experience in risk and compliance assessments, control testing, and issue and incident management.
- Experience providing risk advice on large, complex projects.
- Demonstrated ability to grasp key concepts quickly and challenge the status quo.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong internal relationships and collaborate effectively across teams.
- Ability to effectively plan and prioritize work and deliver to deadlines.
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Strong operational process knowledge and experience within an exchange and/or trading environment (nice to have).
- Understanding of key markets obligations (e.g., Market Integrity, ASX Participant Compliance) (nice to have).
- Understanding of financial risk and/or model risk (nice to have).
- Knowledge of BCP/disaster recovery frameworks (nice to have).
- Experience with designing and building risk reporting dashboards (nice to have).
- Legally authorized to work in Australia on a permanent basis without restrictions.
