About the Role
The Software Integration team's mission is to integrate software for automated driving (AD) / advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) for Toyota's mass-produced vehicles and release high-quality software. We aim to release higher quality software in a shorter period by utilizing cutting-edge software engineering technology and performing the tasks described in RESPONSIBILITIES. The position after hiring will be in one of the AD/ADAS development teams, and you will perform duties under the supervision of your direct manager.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate release dates with internal application engineers and external software vendors to align with the product plan created by the project manager, and define software quality for each release.
- Collaborate with the development tools team and testing team to build an automated build, test, and release system (CI/CD) and utilize it for release operations.
- Test that applications, middleware, and operating systems are properly integrated and provide necessary functions. Also, confirm that CPU and memory resource usage is appropriate.
- Distribute version-controlled software to stakeholders. Coordinate the analysis of problems found in the software after distribution and supervise until countermeasures are completed.
- Create necessary documents for internal and external software audits in accordance with automotive industry standards.
Requirements
- Experience in software integration and testing, specifically with configuration management tools (e.g., Git, Subversion), build tools (e.g., Make, Basel), and continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Over 5 years of experience in the automotive industry or with embedded products.
- Basic programming skills (e.g., C/C++/Python/shell scripting).
- Business-level written and oral communication skills in English or Japanese, and conversational Japanese ability (equivalent to JLPT N2).
