About the Role
Schneider Electric is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join their team in the North East. This role involves supporting customers with the installation and commissioning of building management control systems, including software, graphics, installation, and commissioning.
Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe and healthy working environment, operating to site requirements, Project Method statements, and risk assessments.
- Pre-commission control panels and field devices onto new and existing systems.
- Commission controllers, networks, and field devices into a complete control system.
- Integrate third-party systems onto existing systems.
- Write and commission controller software through to the Graphical User Interface.
- Handover and demonstrate the completed system to the customer/consultant.
- Design and manage installations with the support of Project Managers.
- Maintain and develop customer relationships to become their trusted expert.
- Configure and commission graphics, document commissioning progress, and site reports.
- Assist with O&M manuals.
Requirements
- Background in electrical engineering or a related subject is advantageous.
- Experience in a similar role is advantageous; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Knowledge of the principles of controls for HVAC.
- Experience working in a customer-focused environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Fluency in English (Written and Verbal).
- Hold a full driving license.
