About the Role
This role involves handling complex financial lines, professional indemnity, and director and officer (D&O) matters, providing coverage and dispute resolution services to corporate and commercial clients. The successful candidate will work closely with leading practitioners on high-value defense, complex coverage disputes, and litigated indemnity disputes. The role requires technical detail and an appetite for challenging work, with opportunities for career progression and personal growth.
Responsibilities
- Handling complex financial lines, professional indemnity, director and officer (D&O) matters
- Providing coverage and dispute resolution services to corporate and commercial clients
- Working closely with leading practitioners on high-value defense and complex coverage disputes
- Engaging with complex and challenging work
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer in Australia or another common law jurisdiction
- Minimum of 4-5 years' post-qualification experience (PQE)
- General insurance litigation, financial lines, professional indemnity, and director and officers (D&O) experience is preferred
- Strong academic credentials
- Self-driven with excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities effectively
- Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently
- Commercial awareness
- Confidence in building rapport with clients
- Ability to understand client business needs
- Ability to actively develop client relationships with partner assistance
