About the Role
This role involves working directly within a large commercial litigation team, focusing on financial institutions, directors & officers practice. You will handle complex, high-value, multi-party, and multi-jurisdiction litigation, gaining exposure to general commercial litigation matters for corporations, directors, officers, and insurers. The position offers significant client contact and opportunities for professional development.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in all aspects of matters.
- Make a significant contribution to the outcome of matters.
- Engage in client contact and exposure.
- Develop professional and personal brand.
- Deal with Counsel on a daily basis.
- Collaborate with a large group of solicitors across multi-party litigation.
- Analyze high volume data sets and evidence on a cross-border basis.
- Draft precisely and clearly.
- Manage competing priorities to meet deliverables to a high standard.
- Build rapport with clients to understand their business needs.
- Actively develop client relationships with partner assistance.
- Lead and delegate (for more senior lawyers).

Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' post qualification experience.
- Solid commercial litigator with 5-8 years of experience.
- Australian or overseas qualified lawyers are welcome to apply.
- Solid general commercial litigation background gained from a top-tier private practice environment (Australia or overseas).
- Highly refined communication skills.
- Experience working with, and analysing, high volume data sets and evidence, on a cross-border basis.
- Precise, clear drafting skills.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
- Team player with great collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently.
