About the Role
This role offers exposure to first-rate matters and clients within a highly successful and dynamic Casualty practice team. Clyde & Co's Australian insurance practice is growing rapidly, providing opportunities to work with international and local insurers and corporates on complex insurance claims and issues. The firm offers unique opportunities to work with lawyers globally and emphasizes internal promotion and career development.
Responsibilities
- Manage client files with cross-office interaction.
- Foster a positive team environment.
- Lead and delegate tasks (for more senior lawyers).
Requirements
- Experience working in private practice.
- Experience in litigation, public/product liability, and/or general insurance/coverage claims.
- Demonstrated record of strong, consistent performance in relevant legal areas.
- Solid general insurance background from a top-tier private practice environment (Australia or overseas).
- Precise, clear drafting skills.
- Strong academics.
- Self-driven with a 'can do' approach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities to a high standard.
- Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Commercial awareness.
- Confidence in building rapport with clients to understand their business needs.
