About the Role
The Teammate Driving (POV BEV) team develops fundamental automated driving features like lane keeping and map information provision services. The Testing Engineer's mission is to evaluate software functionality, performance, and quality against system requirements, providing feedback to designers to enhance product quality. This role involves implementing products into Toyota’s next-generation driver assistance systems, “Toyota Safety Sense” and “Teammate,” to improve driving safety and mobility comfort globally.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage evaluation plans that meet Project status
- Build test scenarios for system requirements
- Testing on actual vehicles and identifying the causes of issues identified
- Promote problem management and solving in agile development
Requirements
- Vehicle evaluation operations
- Ability to verify that software requirements are met from the user’s perspective
- Ability to management SW via Git
- Knowledge of AD (Automated Driving)/ADAS (Advanced driver assistance system) and understanding of the interaction of each technology
- Excellent problem solving skills, hypothesis verification and task management skills
- Documentation skills
- Ability to plan to structure a variety of information and develop a coherent plan
- Business level Japanese (JLPT N2 or above)
- Knowledge and implementation experience of embedded or cloud software
- Experience with agile software management tools
- Knowledge/experience with in-vehicle communications (CAN/Ethernet) design
- Knowledge/experience with database handling including migration
- Experience with FMEA/FTA
- Business level English
