About the Role
Provides beauty services for all residents, patients, and tenants while maintaining all infection control and hairdressing standards.
Responsibilities
- Provides salon services at Good Samaritan – Albert Lea (Long Term Care and Assisted Living) and Austin campuses.
- Assists with shaving patients'/residents' heads if desired.
- Assists patients/residents with recommending, selecting, adjusting, and fitting wigs.
- Restyles wigs as permitted.
- Educates patients on proper wig care and preservation techniques.
- Responsible for displaying and managing wig selection.
- Works with a range of ages from children through geriatrics to meet unique patient/resident wants and needs.
- Creates and maintains a relaxing environment that nurtures patient/resident safety.
- Performs other duties as necessary.
Requirements
- Must be a Licensed Cosmetologist in Minnesota.
- Must have a Minnesota Salon Manager’s License.
- Licensure with the Board of Cosmetology in the state(s) of practice is required.
