About the Role
This role in the markets division provides insights and expertise to support senior colleagues in decision-making, new product development, and market opportunity identification. It offers a fast-paced, dynamic environment within Barclays Global Markets, focusing on processing information and anticipating market trends.
Responsibilities
- Execute small research projects.
- Conduct research to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare presentations and reports to communicate research findings.
- Collaborate with senior management to implement research findings for the global markets division.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.
- Participate in training and development programs.
- Identify opportunities, develop business cases, and manage the deployment and launch of new products and services.
- Manage client relationships and provide customer service support.
- Respond to client questions about products and services.
- Process transactions.
- Manage the development and implementation of financial models and strategies.
- Train and mentor junior colleagues.
- Analyze and develop solutions to clients' needs.
- Monitor markets and formulate trade ideas.
- Perform various analyses on fundamental and technical data.
- Attend client meetings or calls with traders, salespeople, structurers, and research colleagues.
- Participate in pricing products.
- Assist with daily tasks such as trade reporting or P&L analysis.
- Assist with managing the risk of the team’s trading books.
Requirements

- Possess a good blend of technical skills and interpersonal skills (ideal).
- Confirm Legal Right to Work in Japan.
