About the Role
Sauna is seeking an individual to manage the video production pipeline, from filming and editing to publishing. This role focuses on consistent output, aiming for multiple quality pieces weekly rather than a single perfect monthly piece. The position offers growth potential within the company.
Responsibilities
- Film the founder and office daily, ensuring all footage is captured and backed up.
- Edit videos rapidly, including writing captions and resizing content for various platforms, with a turnaround time measured in hours.
- Publish content consistently across platforms like X, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts, aiming for five pieces per week.
- Organize and maintain a library of raw footage, transcripts, cuts, and thumbnails.
- Utilize AI tools for tasks such as transcription, captioning, voiceovers, and editing assistance.
- Manage the video concept list, turning ideas into shot lists and ensuring content is shipped on schedule.
- Support the Creative Director by handling capture and initial edits, allowing them to focus on narrative and craft.
- Ensure all captions are accurate and thumbnails are compelling.
Requirements
- Must be based in the Bay Area or willing to relocate.
- Must have US work authorization; O-1 or J-1 visa sponsorship is possible for exceptional candidates.
- Must be comfortable with a high volume of work and maintaining quality standards.
- Must be able to work in person at the San Francisco (Presidio) office five days a week.
- Must be able to start the role remotely or from a studio that isn't the office is not a fit.
- Must be able to work independently from an idea to a published post without constant management.
- Must be able to direct the work rather than make it is not a fit.
- Must not require a brief, moodboard, and sign-off before starting edits.
- Must not be looking to produce only one perfect piece per month.

- Video editing (Premiere, CapCut, or Resolve)
- Motion design (bonus)
- AI tooling for content creation
- Content publishing across multiple platforms
- Content organization and library management
- Understanding of audience engagement details (captions, hooks, thumbnails)
