About the Role

Serve as a central lead for educating stakeholders on PrEP and strategies to improve patient access to Gilead’s long-acting injectable products. This role quarterbacks the matrix team, including field reimbursement managers, medical liaisons, nurse educators, national account directors, sales, and market access marketing. The primary responsibility is to gain inclusion on formularies, placement on the Electronic Medical Records system, and product pathways through account management.

Responsibilities

  • Build, develop, and cultivate relationships across Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), targeted healthcare systems/hospitals, and FQHC/community clinics.
  • Oversee overall strategy at assigned accounts and manage contract pull-throughs.
  • Leverage relationships to generate increased demand and access for Long Action Injectable products by targeting key influencers and decision-makers.
  • Align strategies with Medical, Sales, Marketing, and other operational functions to support a combined customer engagement strategy and ensure appropriate product access and coverage.
  • Deliver on defined call plans to support key decision-makers and prescribers, promoting long-acting injectable (LAIs) at target accounts in collaboration with Field Reimbursement Managers, Strategic Account Directors, Medical Leads, Regional Directors, and other internal partners.
  • Engage and develop positive relationships with key influencers and decision-makers within accounts, such as the Director of Pharmacy, Infectious Disease department heads, and members of Medical/P&T Evaluation Committees.
  • Build and manage account profiles detailing protocol development procedures, pull-through targets, product placement on pathways and protocols, and identification of key influencers and protocol decision-makers.
  • Act as the cross-functional lead for each specific account, maintaining the cross-functional strategic account plan for compliant execution.
  • Employ in-person tactics for account plan execution, including regular account visits to promote sales efforts, manage contract strategy, and provide clinical, efficacy, and safety information to key treatment decision-makers/executive teams.
  • Lead strategic launch planning to evaluate unique customer needs and develop tactical strategies across Sales, Market Access, Trade Relations, Value Access, Contracting, Medical, HEOR, and Marketing for product launches and expansion.
  • Satisfy onsite visitation or hospital credentialing requirements, which may include vaccination, drug and background screenings, and other institutional requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and Ten Years' Experience
  • Masters' Degree and Eight Years' Experience
  • PhD and Two Years' Experience
  • Ability to travel up to 25-50% of the time with overnight travel.

  • Previous account management/managed markets experience
