About the Role
This co-op/internship offers college students the opportunity to develop skills and apply education to real-world products, contributing to a safer society by participating in software development for air traffic management systems.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in the software development for air traffic management systems.
Requirements
- Enrollment in an accredited degree program, with a major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
- United States Citizenship
- Must have completed Sophomore year or greater
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Skills
- Object-Oriented Design and Programming with C++, Python, and/or Java
- Familiarity with scripting languages
- Experience with Linux or Unix development environment
- Experience with software design patterns
- Familiarity with version control tools like Subversion and GIT
- Experience with Javascript, HTML, CSS
- Experience with unit test frameworks (e.g. Junit, GTest, JTest, cppTest, googletest)
- Database/SQL experience
