About the Role
Salesforce is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager to lead programs and projects within the IT Delivery Services organization, specifically supporting initiatives in Endpoint Engineering, Enterprise Productivity, IT Service Management, AI-powered solutions, Digital Workplace Technologies, and IT Operations. This individual contributor role requires strong leadership, executive communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage programs/projects through the entire lifecycle, ensuring business leads and technical teams are on track.
- Collaborate with product management, engineering, and cross-functional teams to define scope, deliverables, resources, work plans, and timelines.
- Engage with senior leaders to track program status and gain approvals.
- Identify and manage program risks, issues, and dependencies, developing mitigation and contingency plans.
- Drive program meetings to facilitate decision-making, remove obstacles, and address issues.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including status reports.
- Drive continuous improvement and iterate on program approaches.
- Coordinate leadership readouts on program status, including issues, risks, metrics, and decisions.
- Maintain and implement program governance standards and processes for predictable, transparent, and agile project delivery.
- Ensure deliverables are aligned across contributing teams.
- Provide program-specific knowledge transfer to new team members.
- Drive cross-functional program priorities.
- Coordinate handoffs of program deliverables.
- Drive program retrospectives upon closure and after critical milestones.
- Partner with Product Management for alignment of program requirements and business needs.
- Support PI Planning and other work planning efforts.
- Coordinate project/program interdependencies.
- Identify program budget needs and work with portfolio management for forecasting, tracking, and reporting.
Requirements

- Experience in implementing and managing cross-functional programs/projects.
- Ability to influence high-quality decisions, solve/escalate issues, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to juggle multiple large-scaled programs/projects.
- Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives, technical and non-technical team members.
- Flexibility in shifting direction quickly and excellent multi-tasking skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills, process-driven mindset, and resourcefulness.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including sound judgment.
- Analytical thinker willing to make decisions cross-functionally in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Self-starter willing to work with minimal guidance.
- Strong knowledge of leveraging AI tools to create delivery management efficiencies.
- 7+ years of Technical Program Management experience in a highly matrixed environment.
- Minimum of 3+ years executing technical programs/projects in a hybrid delivery model (Waterfall & Agile).
- Must have exposure to managing programs in an agile model (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Agile certifications (e.g., Scrum Master, SAFe).
- Previous experience managing programs in the IT Experience Engineering space.

- $180,200 - $247,900 annually in select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area
