About the Role
Homebound is seeking an Interior Designer to join the Design Studio team. This role involves developing and maintaining design packages for residential construction, focusing on personalization and upgrade selections for homeowners. The position requires close collaboration with various internal teams and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop curated design packages and options for Homebound developments, including options for homebuyers to personalize.
- Work closely with Sales and Procurement to ensure designs are within budget and align with market and style objectives.
- Deliver professional design presentations to clients, both virtually and in person.
- Partner with the Tech team to load products and create offerings within the software platform.
- Use Bluebeam to communicate design intent and redline shop drawings for Construction Document updates.
- Maintain organized project files and assist in managing the Homebound Material Catalog.
- Create design package sample boards and professional displays for client meetings.
- Travel for market research and site visit walk-throughs.
- Meet metrics related to Design Studio key results and establish standards tied to performance goals and deadlines.
Requirements
- 4-6+ years of relevant experience in interior design.
- Experience working in a homebuilder design studio or design firm.
- Experience leading client meetings.
- Experience in selecting interior specifications/finishes for architectural drawings with a strong understanding of materials.
- Client-facing experience with strong customer service and listening skills.
- Experience with design software such as Bluebeam Revu and graphics editing tools like Photoshop or InDesign.
- Experience with Revit or AutoCAD is preferred.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Understanding of current design trends for residential construction.
- Exceptional time management and multitasking abilities.
- Strong creativity skills and problem-solving aptitude with a keen eye for detail.
