About the Role
This co-op opportunity with Philips offers meaningful, hands-on experience working for a HealthTech company, focusing on testing key components to support the development and maintenance of superconducting MRI magnet products and technologies.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, assembly, and testing of electronic controllers and superconducting magnets.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues related to printed circuit boards.
- Collaborate with engineers and scientists to develop and implement design solutions.
- Conduct experiments and tests to evaluate the performance and reliability of prototypes.
- Document test results and provide detailed reports on findings and recommendations.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering disciplines.
- Hands-on experience in a laboratory setting, setting up and executing test protocols.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and standards in a lab environment.
- Experience with 3D modeling, circuit design and analysis tools, finite element analysis and other engineering tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn.
- Must be able to successfully perform the minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation.
