About the Role

Supervises cleaning personnel and ensures the health, sanitation, and maintenance of all public, back-of-house, and food and beverage areas during assigned shifts. Oversees event setup and breakdown.

Responsibilities

  • Assigns duties to department employees and inspects their work to ensure standards are maintained.
  • Maintains sanitation levels of all kitchen areas in accordance with health department regulations.
  • Conducts detailed inspections of public areas daily.
  • Inspects all EVS and stewarding areas for cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Trains and develops EVS and stewarding staff.
  • Prioritizes areas and ensures proper rotation of cleaning throughout the day.
  • Performs coaching and counseling, as well as progressive discipline.
  • Coordinates and inspects preventative maintenance and general cleaning.
  • Issues supplies and equipment to workers and oversees proper usage.
  • Ensures employees are trained to work safely and efficiently within current regulatory guidelines.
  • Prepares, maintains, and submits essential paperwork and reports.
  • Demonstrates a thorough working knowledge of all chemicals and equipment used by the department.
  • Ensures effective recruitment, hiring, training, recognition, coaching, counseling, and other personnel-related matters are handled appropriately throughout assigned departments.
  • Facilitates and ensures that performance reviews of all employees within the department are completed annually.
  • Participates in training new hires and monitors their progress.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.
