About the Role

The Account Executive (AE) is responsible for building long-lasting client relationships by consistently delivering competitive loan products. This role involves evaluating loan opportunities, underwriting credit risk, and providing executable loan commitments with competitive rates and terms to meet borrower needs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quoting, underwriting, price negotiation, and telemarketing for assigned geographic territory.
  • Ensure territory pricing is competitive, underwriting is complete and accurate, and credit and profitability standards are maintained.
  • Exceed monthly territory budget objectives and metrics.
  • Build and develop solid agent client relationships through timely delivery of quotes, contracts, and other information.
  • Make outbound calls to improve sales, follow up on, and solicit business opportunities.
  • Track all pertinent relationship-level sales data via Contact Relationship Management (CRM) software.
  • Report lost quote opportunities and marketing intelligence for the territory.
  • Review loan documents with the Loan Processing Department to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Request loan funding arrangements and approval of loans within assigned authority limits.
  • Verify loan details prior to and, in some cases, after loan processing.
  • Evaluate loan opportunities and underwrite credit risk.
  • Deliver executable loan commitments/agreements with competitive rates and terms.
  • Interpret borrower financial statements and review policy binders/endorsements.
  • Understand the competition and their product offerings.
  • Provide interest rate pricing and recommendations to upper management or underwriting for larger transactions.
  • Build trust, accountability, and effective relations with clients.
  • Provide competitive loan commitments and underwriting of premium finance loans to retail agents.
  • Follow up to secure quote and renewal opportunities.
  • Review executed loan documents for compliance with approval and conditions.
  • Solicit new and renewal financing opportunities and drive business volume.
  • Provide management reports on production, lost quotes, new business, and portfolio returns.
  • Track territory performance versus established goals.
  • Complete all underwriting, quoting, and processing activity electronically via a web-based environment.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent education and related training.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong math aptitude.
  • Ability to travel, occasionally overnight.
