About the Role
Taylor DM Brands is looking for a Material Handler to join the team in Amsterdam, NY. This role is crucial for managing incoming shipments and ensuring accurate order fulfillment.
Responsibilities
- Unload and stage incoming shipments using various Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
- Prepare and breakdown inbound shipments for accuracy validation.
- Put away product into correct locations via MHE equipment.
- Pull orders accurately using paper or electronic orders via MHE equipment.
- Operate related material moving equipment to designated areas.
- Perform general warehouse housekeeping including sweeping, mopping, and emptying trash.
- Follow all safety procedures in operating equipment and performing job duties.
Requirements
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and use a computer operating system to track inventory.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work as a team member and independently.
- Flexibility to perform a variety of job assignments.
- Familiarity with basic computer operations.
- Math skills including addition, subtraction, fractions, and decimals are required.
- Ability and willingness to perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to follow safety procedures.
- Prior warehouse/receiving experience.
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand.
- Regularly required to remain in a stationary position.
- Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials.
- Frequently required to move inside the facility.
- Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry).
