About the Role

As a Junior Recipe Developer, you will join our Recipe Development team within the DACH Customer Domain, collaborating closely with departments like Strategic Product Development, Ingredient Development, and Menu Planning. You will develop and adapt recipes for the DACH market, ensuring clarity and consistency in recipe texts and instructions to meet local requirements. This role offers opportunities to learn from experienced colleagues and grow your skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and prepare recipes for various dietary preferences (omnivore, flexitarian, vegetarian, vegan) considering local customer preferences.
Translate and adapt recipes from other HelloFresh markets into German, accounting for local tastes, ingredient availability, and operational needs.
Proofread and revise recipe texts, cooking instructions, and culinary content according to the DACH Style Guide for accuracy and customer experience.
Create practical, accessible, and appealing everyday recipes.
Work within a defined ingredient portfolio and based on strategic briefs, considering seasonality, budget, and cost targets without compromising taste or quality.
Continuously optimize recipes and content based on customer feedback and quality data, ensuring adherence to product and quality standards.

Requirements

First professional experience in recipe development, culinary arts, food media/publishing, or a related field; relevant internships or training are also considered.
A good understanding of what HelloFresh customers cook and eat during the week – simple, everyday, and delicious meals.
Enjoyment of creative work within clear frameworks, developing recipes based on a defined ingredient portfolio and strategic briefs while balancing seasonality, cost, and quality goals.
Structured, team-oriented, and agile working style, with creative problem-solving skills and the ability to remain reliable and organized amidst changing priorities.
Native or near-native German language skills and very good written and spoken English skills.
Enjoyment of collaboration with various departments and a clear, appreciative, and communicative manner.
